Currently serving as the Director of the Center for Constitutional Transitions, Choudhry has had a powerful influence on a large number of people. A native of New Delhi, Choudhry has spent time studying at McGill University, the University of Oxford and the University of Toronto and Harvard Law School. Sujit Choudhry recently shared his views on Security Sector Reform. This format is critical to numerous transitions across the globe. Choudhry is convinced that security services play a vital role in maintaining stability and upholding democratic standards. He is aware of some of the challenges with post-authoritarian environments but continues to work toward maintaining this structure across the globe.
Sujit Choudhry is the director of of the Center for Constitutional Transitions. He has worked in a number of advisory positions including places like South Africa, Ukraine, Sri Lanka and Egypt. He has experience working with the United Nations and has lead numerous workshops on democratic constitutions.
