Sudhir Choudhrie was born in India and is a London based businessman. His business interests range from healthcare, aviation, arms trade, and hospitality. He was brought up singlehandedly by his mother because his father passed on when he was little. In his own words, he describes his mother as a pillar and role model in his life.

Sudhir Choudhrie comes from a family that had a deep interest in business. His grandfather was doing very well in the real estate industry. His other uncle was in public service and heading a national owned aerospace and defense company.

Sudhir is a graduate of the University of Delhi with a degree in Economics. Soon after education, Sudhir Choudhrie decided that it was a convenient time for him to venture into his own business. He decided to start his own business of buying TV equipment from the United Kingdom and supplying it to the Indian growing television network. He grew his business, and within a short period, he had developed it as an exporter of farm machinery and farm goods.

Later in 1975, he started Magnum International Trading Company Limited, which had a specialty in the export markets. He has also served as Chairman to Alpha C&C Group, which is a holding company for significant investments. He has also been director of Kingfisher Airlines and Deccan Aviation Limited, which are both chartered airline companies. He has also been a non-executive director of a travel booking website called Ebookers.

Sudhir Choudhrie has also been involved with politics. In London, he is a strong supporter of the UK Liberal Democrats since 2004 and has made business and personal donations of not less than 1 million pounds. In the year 2015, he was appointed by the party’s leader as an adviser on Indian matters.

Sudhir is a lover of the finest things in life. In India, he is known by many as a car lover and enjoys restoring vintage cars. He is also an avid art collector, and together with his wife, he has managed to collect not less than 600 pieces of rare Indian art.
