Jenna and Spencer, the co-founders of a san Diego company Uqora, have begun clinical trials that aim to expand the research on urinary tract infections and urinary health. Jenna has for a long time suffered from UTI, and in 2014 she had eight occurrences. After trying different natural remedies, she never found one that provided effective relief. In search of answers, she opted to establish Uqora as well as a unique line of products that would help the millions of women who suffer from urinary health conditions. What sets the Uqora company’s product apart from others available in the market is that it doesn’t contain any antibiotic. Instead, the product contains several science-backed ingredients such as green tea extract, d-mannose, and vitamin C, which helps in cleaning the urinary tract.
The products are available in the form of a tablet and powdered drink mix. Currently, clinical trials are ongoing to measure the effectiveness of the line of health products. The volunteers for the study are females who have suffered more than two UTIs in the last six months. There is a total of 360 participants divided into two groups. One of the groups receives uqora supplements while the other receives placebo supplements. The results for the study are expected to be released before January 2021. UTI is the second most common infection affecting millions of women across the United States. Through the natural UTI remedy, Gordon says that women won’t have to rely on over the counter antibiotic prescriptions.
