Moises El-Mann Arazi had high praise for the recent decision by Mexican president López Obrador to name the construction industry as a “priority activity” here. Mr. Arazi is president of Mexico’s largest real estate conglomerate, Fibra Uno. The construction sector is the oxygen which keeps this robust operation moving forward.

In addition to giving the go-ahead for construction, the President as announced easing restrictions on school and other work activities in areas that have shown to be free of coronavirus cases for 14 days.
Moisés El-Mann Arazi said these and other official go-aheads should produce a rebound in job creation and economic activity. He said it will his firm to meet international commitments derived from the T-Mec, the free trade agreement between Mexico, Canada and the United States.
Moisés El-Mann Arazi brings more than 40 years’ experience to his role at Fibra Uno. He has been personally involved in the development of more than 170 real estate projects. Fibra Uno (FUNO) was launched in 2011 and has become the largest entity of its kind in Mexico. Industry observers credit much of that rapid growth to the management style of Mr. Arazi. Under his leadership, FUNO became the first real estate company to issue an IPO and become listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange.
Moisés El-Mann Arazi sits on the FUNO Technical Committee. It is comprised of 12 members, four of whom are independent members. Rules call for the Technical Committee to be comprised of 25% independent participants. Mr. Arazi said this adds strength and depth to FUNO management while avoiding conflicts of interest.
